English Language Partners runs free English classes for jobseekers and employees who are New Zealand residents or citizens, home tutoring with a trained volunteer, ESOL literacy and intensive courses, and an "ESOL Road Code" course for the driving theory test, at 21 centres around the country. Former refugees are a priority group. Many public libraries also host free conversation groups, and some migrants have pre-purchased English tuition (PELT) attached to their visa that can be used there.
