New Pharmac proposal for Kiwis with gout

Pharmac is proposing to widen funded access to febuxostat, a medicine used to treat gout, making it easier and quicker to access without prior trials of other drugs. If approved, this change will take effect from February 2027, reducing healthcare costs and improving treatment access for affected migrants.
